Sam (Sreta)

Age: 1 year

Gender: Male

Size: Medium

Location: Wimbledon, Surrey.

Sreta was either born on the street or dumped as an older pup along with his 2 brothers. They were all collected by the local pound and taken in as part of the 'catch, neuter, release' programme but clearly the 'release' part never happened. His brothers have now found their forever homes and its just him who’s still looking for that someone special. We will be considering adult only homes for this boy. He is a tiny bit shy of people when he first meets you but doesn't take long for this typical 12-month-old pup. Once settled he is a very happy cheeky chap that loves to play with toys and likes a lot of fuss. He is clean in the house and walks on lead. He very much enjoys playing with other dogs off lead and his recall is pretty decent. He can be a bit worried in new situation or by dogs bigger than him who run full pelt at him but within minutes he’s happy to play with them once he realises they’re not a threat. We are looking for a home that will give him plenty of exercise – at least two good walks a day along with lots of toys for him to interact with and in typical puppy behaviour to chew on. He will also need a very patient home because he DOES get worried and he DOES over think certain situations. It took him about a week to relax in both his Serbian foster home as well as his UK one. Ideally his new home would have at least one other resident dog as he has never been completely on his own so we're not sure how he would cope without other dogs to help his confidence unless his new owner was very experienced in which case we’re sure he’ll blossom in no time. He’s super clever and figures out what’s expected of him after just a few asks. Currently, he’s in foster with 2 cats and dogs and is good with all. Home must have at least 6 ft secure garden boundaries. He is neutered, chipped and up to date with his jabs.

  • Cat friendly
