Cats

There are many stray cats in Serbia and we aim to help them with our neutering program

Although we already raise funds for sick and injured cats and we support Kitty-Cat Rescue Serbia - a group set up to provide food, medications, spay and neuter for abandoned cats and kittens in several villages and towns throughout Serbia, most of our reports are about dogs. One of the reasons for this is that we have no 'cat base'. Both Jelena (in Niš) and Goran (in Belgrade) do not have the facilities suitable for cats and therefore can only take in a handful a year.

So many unwanted cats struggle to survive on Serbian streets and many kittens get killed within a few weeks of being born. Its a vicious cycle that has to end and the only way we can do that, at least for some of those cats is by having them neutered.
