Meet Callie – A Loyal Companion Looking for Her Forever Home! 🐾

Callie is a sweet and loving girl who’s ready to find a calm, understanding home where she can truly thrive. Like many dogs, she just needs a little time, patience, and love to settle in and show her full personality and what a wonderful personality it is!

Callie absolutely loves her walks and enjoys getting out twice a day. She’s used to being let off-lead in familiar, quiet areas, especially when she’s around dogs she knows. On the lead, she can be a little unsure in new situations, but with gentle guidance, she gains confidence over time.

Once Callie feels safe and connected with someone, she really comes into her own. She adores cuddles and will happily bounce around and show her excitement when she’s happy, a joy to watch!

She has lived with a family before and was adopted by someone with two boys aged around 9 and 12 at the time. She’s used to a typical work/school routine and is content on her own for a few hours during the day between walks.

Callie is easy to care for, eating dry food happily and always appreciative of a tasty treat. She’s house-trained and knows how to relax at home.

While she can be a bit wary around new people or unfamiliar situations, especially if she feels restricted, her reactions are more about uncertainty than aggression. She may grumble or show her teeth when nervous or protective of her food, but she has never bitten and responds well to people who respect her space. Because of this, we feel Callie would do best in an adult-only home or with older teenagers who can understand her boundaries and give her time to adjust.

She’s not fond of having her rear end touched, but once she trusts you, she’s full of affection and enjoys quality time together.

Callie is friendly with other dogs, though can be a bit cautious at first around unfamiliar people. At home, she may give a little bark when someone comes through the door, more out of alertness than aggression, then settle down quickly once she know’s everything’s okay.

If you’re looking for a loyal, loving companion who will blossom with a little patience and kindness, Callie could be the perfect dog for you. 💛
